About Us

At the Music Education Collective, we believe that music has the power to transform lives and build more vibrant communities. As a non-member 501(c)(3) charitable organization, our mission is to break down barriers to music education and make the joy of music accessible to all in Lane County, with a special focus on empowering youth.

Our Hopes for the Future:

Imagine a community where every child has the opportunity to learn, create, and explore the world of music. At the Music Education Collective, we envision a future where music is a universal language that connects people across all walks of life. We are on a mission to raise $25,000 to purchase a dedicated building that will serve as a home for our collective efforts. This space will enable us to expand our offerings, create a welcoming environment, and further our impact on the community. Here are some of the many visions we have for the future:

  • Individual Lessons: Personalized, one-on-one instruction to help students discover and develop their musical talents.

  • Group Lessons: Foster a sense of camaraderie and teamwork through our group lessons, designed to make music education a social and collaborative experience.

  • Community Workshops: Engage with the community through our drop-in workshops, where music enthusiasts of all ages can come together to learn, share, and create.

  • Rental Space: Provide a hub for music education by offering rental space to local music teachers, facilitating the growth of our collective musical knowledge.
